I want to share a really cool stone with you. It’s an Ametrine seer stone. Usually seer stones are naturally made by rivers flowing over quartz minerals and polishing them into a clear, almost crystal ball like stone.
However, humans make them, too and this one is human-polished, not river polished. This one was given to me as a gift and it was from a crate full of Amethyst seer stones. When you glance at it at first, it looks like an Amethyst, but when you look at it closely and in the light, you can see some golden streaks.
That gold is citrine–and Ametrine is a natural mix of Amethyst and Citrine minerals occuring together. Both are varieties of quartz and both colors are LSU colors (yeah, I’m an LSU fan and 2019 was our year!)
Spiritual folks use seer stones for scrying. I don’t scry–it’s not that I don’t believe in it as I have had some incidents where I’ve “seen” things and those things have happened, but it’s simply not for me.
I love mine simply because I appreciate the beauty of the crystal, especially as the light shines through it.
